3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge [Day 2]

Greetings bloggers! (I sometimes like to make things formal)

I’m here to give you my 2nd quote for the 2nd day of this challenge! But first we’ll have the rules.

The Rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Post a quote for three consecutive days
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day. (See what I did there? Yup, I’ll disregard this rule because I’m turning into a bad-ass blogger.)

My quote for today comes from one of my most favorite books which is (drum roll please) I’ll Give You the sun by Jandy Nelson.

“It’s time for second chances. It’s time to remake the world.”

I’ll Give You the Sun is overflowing with beautiful lines and quotes, but this one is my favorite. It gives me hope and makes me feel like I can make a change in this world, how big or little it may be. I believe in second chances, I believe that everyone should receive one and I believe that we can make a difference in this world. So let’s grab every opportunity that we can get to make this world a better place. It’s time to remake the world.

I remember when we were asked to send our favorite quote for our yearbook at school. I really had a hard time choosing from my wide range of favorite quotes, but I finally decided to go with this one. When I sent it to my classmate, he said to me that it sounds like something that a United Nations representative would say, I didn’t knew how to respond to that so I just told him to stop judging me (in a nice way of course, he’s actually kind of a friend lol). Looking back at what I typed a while ago, I feel like he’s somehow correct but I think that there’s nothing wrong in believing that we can make a change in this world.

Just a quick message, today (May 12, 2016) marks the official first week-sary of this blog! HAPPY FIRST WEEK-SARY GENIEREADS! I actually created this blog last May 4, I did all the layout and customizing that day but I officially published my first post on May 5. I started geniereads having no idea on what I’m doing, and until now I’m still as clueless (and as cute) as a two-week old puppy!
