Book Blogger Insider Tag + 500 Followers / I’M NOW ON TWITTER!

Heyheyhey there beautiful bloggers!

party happy birthday party hard confetti princess bubblegum

It has been SO long since I did a tag mainly because I’ve been focusing on finishing my book reviews but this tag definitely caught my attention and I really wanted to do it. So here it is, thank you so much Pierina Reads for tagging me! Be sure to check out her post as well and also this tag was originally created by Jamie @ A Little Slice of Jamie.

Here are the rules:

  1. Answer the questions
  2. Credit the creator
  3. Tag 5 people
  4. Have fun!

Where Do You Typically Write Your Blog Posts?

On my laptop?

Well I usually write at home, mostly I’m inside my room or at the family room or wherever comfortable place I can find as long as I have my laptop. And I’ve also been trying to write blog posts using my phone especially when I’m free at school but I find it a lot more difficult.

How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book Review?

It typically takes me about 1-2 hours to write and edit a complete book review. But there are times when I find it difficult to write a review (aka when I’m being lazy), so I just write a paragraph or two then save it to my drafts and continue it some other time.

When Did You Start Your Blog?

I still consider myself a new-ish blogger because I just started last May and I haven’t really been very active for the past few months.

What Is The Worst Thing About Having A Book Blog In Your Opinion?

Not being able to book blog 24/7. As much as I love book blogging, I really don’t have enough time for it because of school and I think that we can all agree that it’s pretty time consuming.

What Is The Best Thing About Having A Book Blog In Your Opinion?

EVERYTHING. (lol) But seriously, the best thing for me is that I’m able to talk about books all the time and that I’m surrounded by people who share the same passion for it. In real life, it’s really hard to constantly talk about books and just fangirl about fictional characters all day but when you have a book blog that’s basically what you’re doing!

What Blog Post Have You Had The Most Fun Writing So Far?

I love doing my Genie Shares posts because I get to talk about random bookish stories that happened in my life. Ugh, that reminds me that I haven’t posted a Genie Share post for about 888 years. (My favorite post so far is Genie Shares: The Muggle Who Lived)

When Do You Typically Write?

On the weekends, at night. Or whenever I feel like it (aka when I’m not being lazy), I don’t like forcing myself into writing because it just makes blogging feel like a chore and it shouldn’t be one because blogging should be fun.

Do You Review Every Book You Read?

I try to, but I’m struggling. (sighs) I really want to review every book I read because I want to be able to look back on my thoughts and feelings about the book but sometimes there are books where I really can’t find the words to make a coherent review about it.

How Do You Write Your Book Review? With A Cup Of Coffee Or Tea? With Netflix? Cuddled With Your Fur Baby?

Hmm…with my laptop? I have no special way on doing it, I just word vomit and/or fangirl about the stuff that I like about the book and/or rant about those that I did not like. Maybe having the book with me counts? I like browsing through the lines I bookmarked and re-reading them while writing a review.

When Do You Write Your Reviews? Right After Finishing The Book? Two Weeks After Finishing The Book?

When I have the time I try to write my review right away but when I don’t have the time or when I don’t feel like writing a review, it typically piles up and there’s really no specific time when I’ll write the review anymore.

How Often Do You Post?

mr

Not very often, to be honest. (because you’re a very bad blogger Louise)

So there you go guys, that was my take on the Book Blogger Insider tag! I really enjoyed answering all of those questions, and I’m now passing on the fun by tagging:

Lynn @ Castle on the Sea / Jerrod @ itsJerrod / The Maniacal Book Unicorn / Kate @ The Nerdy Novelty / Kayla @ KDREWKTHEBOOKWORM / AND YOU!

Please feel free to do this tag if you want to, just consider yourself tagged!

WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT. I KNOW I CAN’T BELIEVE IT EITHER. So a couple of days ago, I received this notification and I still can’t absorb it.

I feel so overwhelmed, I seriously never thought that I’ll hit this amount of followers on my blog. Thank you so much to all you beautiful people who followed my blog, I’m sending out virtual hugs and a whole box of candies to each one of you!

I’m so sorry because I really don’t know how to celebrate this news, I would love to host a giveaway but sadly Louise is broke AF, and I don’t want to do a Q&A because I want to do that some other time heh. So I’ll just leave this dancing baby Finn GIF and promise to make it up to you guys in the future! (BUT AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU!!!)

AND MY OTHER BIG NEWS! Yes, I have finally decided to make a bookish Twitter account. I’ve always been very hesitant to start a new account because it seemed like a lot of work and honestly, I’m really having a hard time right now but I wanted to be able to connect to all of you more. And since I’m not very active with my blog posts, I’ll try my best to active on my new Twitter account so I’ll still be updated with all the happenings at the blogosphere!

  1. Congrats on reaching 500! You shouldn’t worry about not posting very frequently. Life happens. If I hadn’t scheduled posts in the summer I wouldn’t be posting very often either. Thanks for the tag!

  2. WOW 500 followers. I wish I could reach that number of followers too. I’d love to do this tag. It would be the first time doing this. Thanks for sharing Louise! BTW, I followed you on Twitter. 😀

  5. For me, writing a review for every book is a lot of pressure. I’d rather just enjoy reading without having to worry about chronicling my thoughts about everything all the time. I also doubt everyone would be interested in everything I read. 😉

    • Totally makes sense, there has been a time when I stopped reading because I had like 6 reviews to write and I felt so pressured to get them done. I still try to review as much books as I can though I don’t review every single book I read. The thing is generally started my blog so that I could have a place to store my thoughts on the books I read lol. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, Krysta! 🙂

  8. The credit for my successful Twitter account goes to WizUgo [com]. I used to spend a lot of time on Twitter and still, I was not able to get a decent amount of followers. For the first time, I used Wizugo for my Twitter account automation, and it became the savior of my sinking account. Within a few weeks, I got a lot of active followers that like and comment on my pictures and videos that I tweet.
