John Green has a special place in my heart, his books are some of the first ones I read that got me to reading Young Adult. So of course, I’m highly anticipating his new book Turtles All the Way Down which comes out in October. Yup, we’ll have to wait until October to read it!! But no worries because you can join me and other book lovers with the #TurtlesAlltheWayCountDown 🐢 Read-along or Reread-along! (if you already read the books)
Thank you so much to Penguin Random House International for asking me to join the read-along and sending me this boxed set.
So what is the hashtag #TurtlesAlltheWayCountDown all about? Well, our friends at PRH International has prepared a 6-week long read-along for all of us. Where each week we’ll read or reread one John Green book and there’s also a weekly Goodreads giveaway. The last or 6th week is the most exciting one because it’s the release of Turtles All the Way Down and they’re giving away a signed copy of the book!
Here’s the complete schedule:
(click on the banners to go the book’s Goodreads page)
Let’s seek the Great Perhaps with Pudge by reading or rereading his story. Warning though, this book might bring out some tears so have a box of tissues nearby!
This book is full of anagrams, Katherines, heartbreaks and some math equations. I remember this being my favorite John Green book when I was 15, but I’m not sure if it’s still is so I can’t wait to reread it.
You may have seen the movie, but have you read the book? Let’s go on a roadtrip through the pages of Paper Towns.
Two authors. Two Will Graysons. One book. (Lots of feels)
Pain demands to be felt so let’s just read/reread this, okay? okay. (Side note: I think this is my current favorite John Green book!)
Turtles All the way Down officially comes out on October 10, and I’m not even sure what it is all about. I only scanned through the synopsis at Goodreads because I want to know as little as possible. What I’m sure is that it’ll be another great contemporary because duh, it’s written by John Green.
You can also check out this post for more details. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #TurtlesAlltheWayCountDown and tag @PRHGlobal on Twitter when you discuss about the books, share your favorite quotes, and/or showcase your bookish photos.
I’ll also be “live-tweeting” my thoughts while rereading the books on my Twitter (@geniereads) so follow me (if you only want to haha shameless plug) and watch out for more blog posts connected with this on my blog.
I read these books like 3-4 years ago and I probably forgotten most of the details. I’m really excited to reread them and see if I still like the books as much as I did before because even though I’m still trash for a good contemporary my taste and the way I evaluate books has severely changed.
So yes, I hope that you too will join this read-along! Grab your copy of Looking for Alaska and we’ll start reading it at September 4.
Question/Discussion time:
Do you like John Green? What’s your favorite John Green book? Are you excited for Turtles All the Way Down? Are you participating in the #TurtlesAlltheWayCountDown Read-along? Let’s talk on the comments section!
Hope that you’re having a great day today, happy reading and blogging!
Please do leave any comments, thoughts, messages, reactions, and/or suggestions! Thank you for reading.
Until next time,
