Hey there! ✨
It has been MONTHS since I did an Award post and that’s because I feel like most of the Awards/Tags are repetitive, don’t get me wrong I love reading these kind of posts because I feel like I know the blogger better after and I’m thankful for every time I get nominated but I just don’t feel like writing them most of the time.
But the other day, I saw this and immediately wanted to do it! Luckily, I was already nominated by two awesome bloggers—Katherine @ Fabled Haven and Lauren @ Wonderless Reviews—thank you so much for tagging me and sorry if it took forever. And of course let’s not forget the creator of this tag, Liam @ Hey Ashers!
Don’t forget to head over to their blogs and checkout their #Aesthetics plus Liam’s post includes some tips on how to make/build your own. Enough ramblings, let’s get started!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday, did you get all the books you wished for?
There’s still a few days left in 2016, and I wanted to take this time to spread some love and good vibes! That’s why I’m so glad that Laura @ Bibliofagista tagged me to do this tag, thank you so much lovely. Don’t forget to also check out her post.
So without further ado, let’s get some celebrating:
My Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Synopsis from Goodreads:
Fourteen-year-old Hannah Bradbury loved her father so much that she worried about him constantly. After all, he was a photographer who traveled to the most dangerous places in the world.
To allay her fears, each time he came home he brought her silly gifts, each one with supposed magical powers: the Seal of Solomon, the Ring of Gyges, even Aladdin’s Lamp. It was that lamp Hannah found the most unbelievable, for it looked like an ugly teapot. Nevertheless, her father assured her it was real, and made her promise to save her three wishes for something very special.
Then . . . six months later . . . the unthinkable happened. Her father was killed while on assignment to Baghdad. And so on the day of his funeral Hannah did something she never thought she would ever do.
She took out that teapot and gave it a rub . . .
The Ugly Teapot by Fred Holmes is a timeless tale, filled with magic and adventure. More importantly, it will make you believe in the overwhelming power of love.
I had no expectations when I read this book because I don’t read middle grade books often, and the ones I read are usually contemporary. But I was still excited because it has a Genie in it, which is super thrilling for me. (duh)
Hey there lovely blogger!
I’m here with a tag because tags are so fun to do, and this tag is like one of the most fun tags that I’ve ever seen so shout out to the person who created this tag! Keep being awesome. (I’m so bad at intros, sorry for being slightly weird.)
Anyways, I completely mistaken this tag for the This or That tag, but this tag is really different from that tag except for their names which are a tiny bit alike. (This sentence gave me an headache.)
I was tagged by the lovely Marta @ The Book Mermaid, you should all definitely head-over to her blog and check her out.
SO ENOUGH WITH THIS CONFUSING INTRO AND LET’S GO DO THIS TAG!
Hey there you!
I was tagged by the lovely Amanda @ My Books Opinion Site to do The Book Sacrifice Tag! Thank you so much Amanda for tagging me and you guys should go check out her take on this tag as well.
So today we are sacrificing some of my least favorite books with the help of different situations. I sincerely apologize if I’ve mentioned any of your loved books, some sacrifices were just destined to be made.
So let’s get to it! Continue reading
In line with the celebration of surviving my first blogging month, I’m doing this! I saw this on Twitter, I had so much fun reading random facts about people so I decided to do it here because I can be pretty vain, I occasionally like talking about myself!
So if you want to know some random facts about Louise just like this post until Friday, June 10, and on Saturday I’ll be posting some bookish and not-so bookish facts about me. And if you want to know something particular about me, don’t hesitate to tell me in the comments! Haha, that’s all.
Happy reading everyone.
Hello friends, it’s nice to see you again! (Look Mom, I’m so polite)
So one month ago, I posted my very first post here on my blog and wow… a big YAY for me because I survived my first month. I actually thought that I won’t make it this far because I have a bad history with commitments. Anyways, I am honored to do this post today which is The Blogger Recognition Award.
So May is officially over, and it hurts. I know most of you guys are happy because it’ll be summer there soon but for me June marks the resume of classes. *quietly sobs*
But we are not here for that sad news, WE ARE HERE TO LOOK BACK ON THE AWESOME MONTH OF MAY! Seriously May was an amazing bookish month for me because (1) I read a handful of books, (2) I started this blog, and (3) I discovered this wonderful community!
Okay now, let’s look back on all the book reviews and other bookish stuff that I posted last month. Continue reading
Greetings bookish people!
Sadly, I’ve been a little busy these past few days and I’ll probably be busy for the rest of the week. But no worries, I’ve spent this day working on a few posts and stacking up my drafts.
Anyways, due to my
busy schedule laziness, I really do need to work on my tags and awards. So don’t worry if I haven’t done all those posts where you awesome people tagged me, I’m working on them.. it might take a while but I WILL DO THEM AND CONQUER ALL THOSE TAGS!!
I was tagged by Calliope the Book Goddess to do the Most Likely To… Book Tag. Thank you so much for tagging me, and you all should go give her blog a visit and follow!
So I tried to trace back where this tag originated, and I think it was first posted by Becca @ Becca and Books. Continue reading
So my Mom was watching the news yesterday and I heard the weather forecaster saying things about Low Pressure Areas and Typhoons, which basically mean that SUMMER is over. Which is pretty evident because of all that rain these past few days.
Well, rain doesn’t really mean that Summer VACATION is already over, because I’m still on vacation for 18 more days.
HOW COULD THIS BE REAL? I ONLY HAVE 18 DAYS LEFT BEFORE SCHOOL??!!! UGHHHHH, THIS FEELS SO WRONG. SERIOUSLY, SUMMER CAME BY SO FAST.
I am now panicking because, I still HAVE A LOT OF BOOKS that I want to read before I get busy with schoolwork. I’m an impulsive reader, and I pick-out my next read randomly. I don’t usually make a list of books that I’m going to read.
But because I feel like I need to pressure myself into spending more time on reading, I decided to make a short list of the books that I NEED to read before summer ends. Continue reading
